Missed Connections is a photography project that attempts to make a portrait of an absent, unknown person. I browsed the “missed connections” listings (where you can post a personal listing for a stranger you saw in public, hoping they will see it and respond) on Craigslist, and used the physical descriptions to create my own listings for portrait models. I then photographed (and paid) the models that showed up to my studio. The photographs are framed with their corresponding missed connections listings.
